Earlier this September, Chantal and Matt got married surrounded by their closest friends and family at Cellar52 in St. Jacobs. The couple had an absolute VISION for their wedding day, and you’ll see exactly what I mean as you continue scrolling through this gallery.

One of my favourite spots for a first look is the front foyer. Chantal & Matt opted to have their parents & wedding party witness this moment. Typically, a first look is done privately, but I absolutely adore how having their favourite people there made the moment even more special and allowed everyone to be part of it.

We then ventured to the riverside where they could exchange their vows privately. As a photographer, I always want to respect your privacy, so I’ll always ask whether you’d prefer us to use a longer lens (something that allows us to zoom in while staying further away). For Chantal & Matt, our photography team stayed back at a distance so this moment could still be documented beautifully, without any interference from us.

The bumble bees were LOVING the wedding party’s bouquets 🥹

One of my favourite parts about getting married at Cellar52 (or its sister venue, The Timber Barn) is the option to have a riverside ceremony. Just a 3-minute walk from Cellar52, this is such a beautiful and intimate location for your ceremony. If you have any guests with limited mobility, there is a parking lot tucked just around the other side of the trees, making it easier for them to access this space as well.

Cocktail hour on the back patio is another one of my favourite perks (that, and getting to sample all of Gilt Catering’s incredible hors d’oeuvres).

Chantal & Matt chose to take their first dance outside, under the patio's string lights.

Thanks so much for taking a peek into Chantal & Matt’s wedding day! If you’re curious about what package allows you to receive photos like these for your own wedding day, this gallery was from 9 hours of coverage with a team of two photographers.
And a little shoutout to the wonderful venue coordinators at Cellar52, who help make the entire day feel so seamless!
